Every month, Dream Giveaway Garage brings you a behind-the-scenes look at Dream Giveaway® grand-prizes, the charities that benefit from your donation, the companies that help us build the grand-prize cars, and the lucky winners!
Hang Ten: A Decade of Corvette Dream Giveaway®
A decade ago, Dream Giveaway launched the first Corvette Dream Giveaway and the lucky winner took home two amazing Corvettes. From 2008-2016, we’ve given away 18 ground-pounding Corvettes to nine lucky winners. Now it’s time to find our 10th lucky winner in the 2017 Corvette Dream Giveaway.
As you can imagine, selecting the 19th and 20th Corvettes to star in the Corvette Dream Giveaway was no easy task. Past winners have scored supercharged ZR1s, Z06 coupes and convertibles, big-block midyear Sting Rays … even a Tri-Power C3 roadster.
So for its milestone 10th annual sweepstakes, Dream Giveaway sought out the most iconic Corvette in the marque’s 65-year history. It should come as no surprise to you that we’re talking about a 1963 Corvette Sting Ray, a one-year-only vehicle, which ranks #1 on most historians’ Top 10 Corvettes list. To send the lucky winner home with the best that 1963 had to offer, Dream Giveaway Garage got its hands on a super-rare, 360hp “Fuelie” Sting Ray, which was expertly restored following strict National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) rules.
The second half of the grand-prize carries the Lingenfelter name, as Lingenfelter Performance has been on board with the Corvette Dream Giveaway since the sweepstake’s inception. It was only logical that last year’s overwhelming popularity of the Lingenfelter Signature Edition Z06 prompted us to offer it once again for the 2017 Corvette Dream Giveaway.
Here’s what you might not know. The coupe version of the Corvette Z06 presented Dream Giveaway Garage designers with the unique opportunity to make a one-of-a-kind grand prize. Compare the photos of the stock Corvette Z06 and the Dream Giveaway Z06. Can you spot the differences?
Here’s the answer. The Corvette Z06 you can enter to win has a full-length, blacked-out roof panel, body-colored A-pillars, unique hood graphics, and custom billet aluminum emblems. Auto show journalists fell in love with this 2017 Lingenfelter Performance Edition Z06 at the Detroit and Chicago Auto Shows and we know you’ll fall in love with it, too.
One lucky winner will be flown to Clearwater, Florida, to accept the keys to both amazing Corvettes in the 2017 Corvette Dream Giveaway, plus we’ll pay $50,000 for the taxes.

Winner Spotlight: Hellcat Dream Giveaway
Is it just a cosmic coincidence that the winner of the Hellcat Dream Giveaway lives in a state that had no highway speed limit until recently? It sure sounds like the perfect place to put the pedal to the metal in a supercharged 6.2L Hemi Dodge Charger Hellcat.
Shiftin’ Gears reached out to Stephen Saunders, the 58-year-old winner of the Hellcat Dream Giveaway, and asked him what his plans are for his grand-prize, go-fast Charger.
“It feels really good to have the Hellcat back in Montana,” Saunders says. “I drove the [Hellcat] home from [the grand-prize award ceremony in] Clearwater, Florida, and I got to see four of my daughters along the way, which was nice. It is a great car.”
We were surprised to hear that the winner does not plan on racing his Hellcat. According to him, the car is going to be more of a special events driver. What’s good is that he plans on keeping its miles low and won’t deploy it as his daily driver because he drives 80 miles a day for work.
“The Hellcat I won from Dream Giveaway really is a magnificent car,” he says. “It just has feature after feature after feature. The car handles great and the seats are really comfortable. The attention this car draws is phenomenal. You can’t go to a gas station or a convenience store without having to sit and talk with someone about the car. People don’t pass this car on the road; rather they pull up and ride along with it. Everybody wants to look at the car.”
Will you be the next big Dream Giveaway winner?
Partner Spotlight: RAMC/Bandit Run
What started in 2005 as a dream and a small shop in suburban Lincoln, Nebraska, has grown into a 40,000-sf, full-service collector car facility. Restore a Muscle Car (RAMC) is now a one-stop, world-class destination for all things involved in the preservation of classic and modern cars. It doesn’t matter if it is a small repair or a full frame-off restoration, the professionals at RAMC can tackle the job.
While RAMC first made its reputation in the Pontiac world, that same knowledge and attention to details has now been expanded and allows the company to handle any collector vehicle you may have. “We want to be the first name you think of when your needs for sales, purchases, service, repairs or restorations come up,” the company says.
Restore a Muscle Car is the originator of The Bandit Run – a once-a-year event, which gathers like-minded car enthusiasts together to get their vehicles out on the open road for a week-long excursion visiting different destinations each year. While smaller than similar events, it offers a more intimate experience, allowing you the chance to really get to know your fellow Bandit Runners.
The next time you are looking to restore, repair, buy or sell a collector car, please consider contacting the experts at Restore a Muscle Car and let their team of professionals work for you!
