Ending Soon: Challenger Dream Giveaway®
True, those were the glory days, but today’s performance numbers have them all beat. That’s why putting a 1,000-plus horsepower 2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat we call the “HellScat” in your garage needs to be at the top of your to-do list this month.
Since last June, the world’s only Challenger HellScat has been in Hot Rod, Mopar Muscle and Mopar Action magazines (and on the cover of the latter two), down the drag strip with The King of Drag Racing, “Big Daddy” Don Garlits behind the wheel at the Mopar Nationals for a star-studded reveal.
We’re waiting to hand over the 9.98-second e.t. time slip of this legendary Hellcat to you if you’re the lucky winner. But just like the 9-seconds it takes this grand-prize HellScat to make it down the quarter mile, time is running out for you to enter.
Brand New: Ultimate Toolkit Dream Giveaway®
“I’d fix that instead of hiring a repairman but I don’t have the right tool!”
How many times have you said that to your significant other?
Well now you can have every tool you’d need when you enter and win our brand-new Ultimate Toolkit Dream Giveaway.
We asked our friends at NAPA Auto Parts to put together a prize package you’ll love forever. It includes a professional selection of wrenches, sockets, ratchets, drivers and power tools —over 420 tools total—and a professional grade toolchest and tool cart to keep them in. It also includes a professional battery charger, jack and jack stands.
The full list of all the tools is on our website and together they are worth more than $10,000.
Here’s some great tool trivia you can share with your friends.
• The first wrench was invented in 1835.
• The first ratchet was invented in 1913.
• The Phillip screw was patented before the Phillip screwdriver, 1932 and 1933 respectively.
• The first power tool was invented in 1895. It was a power drill.
• Sears bought the rights to use the name “Craftsman” in May 1927 for $500. The first Craftsman tool was likely designed for farmers.

Charity Spotlight: Honor Flight of West Central Florida
This issue, we help the aforementioned Honor Flight chapter highlight one of its volunteers. Her name is Rita Hunter.
“About six years ago, Rita was looking for volunteer work,” Honor Flight tells us. “A friend who had been a guardian on an Honor Flight suggested that it would be a good fit and it was! Rita has not missed a flight as a volunteer, whether it was at orientation, the Welcome Home or having accompanied six Veterans as a guardian.”
What does Rita love about Honor Flight?
“That is a hard question to answer. I love it all! After spending a long day in D.C. starting at 3 a.m. (often after a sleepless night) and ending the day at 10 p.m. or later, the smiles, tears and renewed vigor as our veterans approach the roaring crowds of people welcoming them home is priceless. We welcome all to join us for a truly unforgettable day. It is an extreme heartfelt honor to be a part of Honor Flight of West Central Florida.”
Shiftin’ Gears and Honor Flight truly appreciate Rita’s dedication and commitment to our treasured veterans.
