One of the unexpected perks of taking your vehicle in for repair is seeing the massive assortment of Snap-On tools that fill the technician’s roll cabs. The Snap-On truck is like an ice cream truck for adults, and it’s filled with the tools we’d all love to have in our home garages.

Of course, the Snap-On truck only delivers to businesses. But thanks to the power of the Internet, you can shop for Snap-On tools from the comfort of your computer chair.

That’s where Dream Giveaway Garage comes in. We have set aside a $10,000 Snap-On gift card for you if you’re the winner of the Toolkit Dream Giveaway. Enter and win and you’ll get to go hog-wild on the SnapOn.com website. Choose from rolling tool chests, power tools, wrenches, sockets, jacks, battery chargers and nearly anything in the Snap-On catalog.

This is your chance to put together a tool assortment or a lifetime that will last a lifetime. But hurry. Time is running out. You only have until midnight on November 26th to get your entries.

Winner: 2019 Show & Tow Dream Giveaway
Sometimes it feels good being pulled over by a cop.

That’s what happened when Houston Police Department Sergeant Damon Jensen pulled us aside after the recent Show and Tow Dream Giveaway award ceremony and thanked us for the time of his life.

Jensen was the lucky winner of one of our biggest prize packages of 2019 — a 1969 Camaro, a new 2019 Chevy Silverado truck, a car trailer and a $10K gift card from Eastwood.com.

So how did he get his pavement-pounding prize package home?

Simple. He hitched the trailer to the Silverado, loaded on the Camaro and hit the long road home — a 1,000-mile journey, which he and his father-in-law shared driving duties on.

Hopefully you just read about our new Show and Tow Dream Giveaway prize package — a mega Mopar mash up of a ’70 Plymouth Cuda and a 2019 RAM Power Wagon.

Charity Spotlight: Honor Flight of West Central Florida

When you make a donation to win the world’s greatest prize packages, your donation goes a long way to helping out our nation’s veterans. This month, Shiftin’ Gears checks in with Honor Flight of West Central Florida, and ask them to share with us what you’ll look forward to if you volunteer for your local Honor Flight charity.

“Honor Flight volunteers are patriotic, passionate, caring people who want to show their love and respect to our precious veterans,” says the charity’s spokesperson.  “Our volunteers are too numerous to count.  They are young and old, big and small, short and tall and give their time, talent and treasure in so many different ways.”

So what do Honor Flight volunteers help out with? Here’s the inside scoop.

  • Orientation – Volunteer guardians meet the veterans to learn about flight day.

  • Send off – Volunteers escort the veterans and guardians to the gate area for departure.

  • Volunteer guardians accompany a veteran and ensure that he/she has a safe and memorable experience in Washington, DC.

  • Welcome Home – Volunteers set up and prepare their local airport for the celebration when the veterans return from Washington, DC. In addition, the volunteers attend the welcome-home celebration and show our veterans how much they mean to us and our freedom

  • Volunteers write letters for mail call

  • Volunteers help spread the word about Honor Flight and inform their friends and families, churches and school groups, social and civic clubs, and fraternal organizations about the program.

  • Volunteers identify and help register a veteran by assisting with the application or by notifying Honor Flight. WWII and terminally ill veterans are Honor Flight’s top priority, followed by Korean, Vietnam and other veterans.

  • Volunteers make up the board of directors of the local Honor Flight chapter. It is an all-volunteer working board.  There are no paid employees.

“Pray for us as we organize, develop and grow,” the charity spokesperson says. “We ask God’s blessings of wisdom, safe travel and good health for the veterans and guardians.”

Honor Flight is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and receives NO government funding. They need the continued support from grateful Americans and the generous participation of area corporations to honor these Veterans with a tour to D.C. in the manner they deserve. All contributions are tax deductible.

Visit www.dreamgiveaway.com today and make a donation to enter to win some amazing prize packages. When you do so, you’ll be helping Honor Flight of West Central Florida support our veterans. To learn more, go to www.honorflightwcf.org and ask how you can volunteer for your local Honor Flight charity.
